Skaneateles Town Boat Launch - Located on State Route 41A, five miles south of Skaneateles Boat Launchthe Village. Parking is located on Lacy Road near the Mandana Fire Station. Free parking for Town of Skaneateles residents, non- residents $5.00 per day.

NYS Public Boat Launch - Located on State Route 41A, 2 1/2 miles south of the Village of Skaneateles. Parking for 30 cars and trailers. Concrete ramp.

Boat Cruises on Skaneateles Lake and the Erie Canal - available for lunch, dinner and sightseeing cruises from Mid-May through September.  Contact Mid-Lakes Navigation at 1-800-545-4318 or online at www.midlakesnav.com.

Rent A Boat - be adventurous and explore Skaneateles Lake on your own.  Canoe and kayak rentals are available, as well as pontoon boats and sailboats. The following have rentals available:  The Sailboat Shop is located at 1322 E. Genesee Street and can be reached at 315-685-7558; The Skaneateles Marina is located just 5 miles down the west side of Skaneateles Lake in Mandana and can be reached at 315-685-5095.  Both places have an abundance of boating accessories including ski ropes, life preservers, etc... The Skaneateles Marina also has a gas station for filling up on the lake, and convenience store items.

The Skaneateles Hotel, located in the Village at 12 Fennell Street, has kayaks and canoes available for rent, by the hour or by the week.  Special rates for residents - just ask.  Pontoon Boat rentals also available.  Call 315-685-7568.

FISHING
Thayer ParkThayer Park - Located on the waters of Skaneateles Lake in the Village on East Genesee Street. Fishing is permitted.

NYS Public Fishing Access - Located on State Route 41A, 2 1/2 miles south of the Village of Skaneateles. No picnicking allowed.

Fishing Licenses - are available at the Skaneateles Town Hall, 24 Jordan St., Skaneateles or at Bass Pro Shops in the Finger Lakes Mall in Auburn, NY.


SWIMMING

Clift Park Swimming AccessClift Park Swimming Access - Located on the waters of Skaneateles Lake in the Village on West Genesee Street, across from the Sherwood Inn. Public swimming is offered when lifeguards are on duty in July and August (generally 11 am - 7 pm). Skaneateles residents swim free, non-residents pay $2.00/person. Season permits are available at Town Hall, 24 Jordan St., Skaneateles.Skaneateles Community Center

Skaneateles Community Center - The Mary H. Soderberg Aquatic Center offers swimming for every age and skill level. There is a 2 Story Waterslide and Waterworks for the children, a leisure pool, an 8 lane competitive pool, and a whirlpool. There are fitness classes, learn-to-swim classes and so much more. Showers and changing rooms are also available.
