Women TIES (Women Together Inspiring Entrepreneurial Success), is proud to announce the names of the national, regional and local women entrepreneurs presenting at its fourth
annual conference.
On September 19, 2012, at the Lodge at Welch Allyn in Skaneateles, New York, the 4th Annual
“Inspiring Success: The Women TIES Retreat” sponsored by SUNY Oswego will feature ten women entrepreneurs who will educate and inspire women entrepreneurs from around the state to higher levels of business success. The Keynote speaker is Chris Xaver, Ph.D., creator of "The Sweet Life with Chris Xaver," a unique national cooking and healthy lifestyle show seen in nearly 80% of the country in its first season including major markets like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, as well as a professor and department chair at Tompkins Cortland Community College, she is proof thinking big and acting intentional leads to success. She will inspire women to higher levels of their own entrepreneurial success by acting without limits, thinking beyond what they see currently and growing their business network by being extremely intentional with everyone they meet.
The Retreat also features Deborah Cabral, President of Cabral Enterprises, LLC, who started her company The DeClutter Coach in 2010, has grown her company to four divisions including corporate consulting and training, residential organizing, public appearances and a television show. During her presentation she'll share her perspective on growth, how she added staff and structures to succeed and
how positioning herself as an expert garnered valuable publicity which helped her expand quicker than
she imagined. Vicki Brackens, Co-Host of WCNY’s Financial Fitness will moderate a roundtable discussion with four female financial advisors on how to start feeling and acting financially stronger, the panel consists of Lee Gatta of Prudential Securities, Lisa D. Miller of Women, Wealth & Wisdom, and Mary Ann Pierce of Susan Budrakey & Associates.
Becky Bayne, President of Becky's Graphic Design based in Nashville, Tennessee, will educate women on the best apps to make your business operate smoothly from anywhere; Joleene DesRosiers, a former central New York television reporter turned transformational speaker and author, will share a unique way she overcame fear to inspire attendees to embrace the challenging choices women entrepreneurs face running throughout business; Lynn Hidy, President of UpYourTelesales.com, will conclude the presentation portion of this impactful day by providing fifteen minutes of quick, effective sales advice to inspire women as they begin the special regional speed networking session; and Women TIES President Tracy Higginbotham will discuss the buying and selling power of women.
Besides learning success strategies, attendees participate in a regional speed networking exercise aimed at helping women entrepreneurs create new regional economic ties with each other. Attendees will enjoy special raffle drawings and an inspirational musical performance by popular Central New York female vocalist Maria DeSantis.
This event is expected to sell out. Attendance is limited to 220 women. Sponsorship opportunities are available along with business booths.
