A nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the history of Skaneateles, the Skaneateles Historical Society conducts and encourages historical research and collects, preserves, and exhibits historical material in connection with the Town and Village. If there is a record of a newspaper announcement in our database file that you would like to see, please write to us and provide a stamped self addressed return envelope. A suggested donation of $5 for services and copies will be appreciated.

The Museum at The Creamery houses many Skaneateles artifacts, including hand-made wooden boats in the new Boat Building. The museum is open to the public on Fridays from 1-4 p.m. as well as additional hours during spring, summer, and during Dickens Christmas.
