May's program will be on the history of our local American Legion Post #239. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Post, which is named after Robert J. Hydon, the first local veteran to die in WW1.

Nature's Little Explorers: Warm Spring Preschool Series

Late Spring is a great time of year to explore. The woods are always changing and we’ll try to see it all, through crafts, games, exploration and imaginative play. Each week will bring a different adventure. Weekly titles in order: Fish!, Salamanders and Newts!, Turtle Power!, Under Rocks Under Water, Frogs and More Frogs!, Pond Secrets. This six-week series will meet on Wednesdays, May 8, 15, 22, 29, June 5, 12. Program for ages 3-5. $35 for members; $50 for public.

Geneva Music Festival, A Portrait of Clara Schumann

Clara Schumann was considered one of the finest pianists of her day, performing all over Europe to great acclaim. She was also a composer, although her compositions were virtually unknown until the latter part of the 20th century. Here we explore her deeply expressive music, as well as works by two of her primary influences, Bach and Brahms.

Jinjoo Cho and Geoffrey Herd, violin
Eric Wong and Abigail Rojansky, viola
Max Geissler and Jonathan Dormand, cello
Michelle Cann, piano

Program to include:
J. S. Bach, Selections from Goldberg Variations
Clara Schumann, Piano Trio in G minor
J. Brahms, Sextet in G major, Op. 36
