2023 Meadow Making/Ecological Landscaping Support
2023 Meadow Making/Ecological Landscaping Support
Employment Type: An average of 10 hours/week to work with the Go Native! perennials (GNP) Team to support meadow-making/ecological landscaping work between May 1 - November 15, 2023. GNP is interested in engaging and educating young people in this important work and will accommodate student schedules; including evenings and weekends.
Duties Include: Removing and moving sod, digging, and loading plants, seeding meadows, planting, mulching and any other support activities necessary to complete lawn to meadow or ecological garden installation.
We are looking for someone who will share our passion for re-naturalization of the Skaneateles Lake watershed with native perennial ecological landscapes and meadows for lake protection and wildlife habitat. Good communication and a collaborative approach are essential to the success of this position. You must be able to both take and give direction.
Hourly wage: $15/hour

- Be able to lift 50+ pounds comfortably
- Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to identify potential problems, make decisions and collaborate to create viable solutions
